It is mainly used to improve the surface bonding properties of organic and inorganic materials, such as fiberglass in FRP and silicone fillers in plastics, rubber, paint and coatings. It is also used in adhesives to increase the bonding properties. The resins it adapts to include epoxy, phenolic, melamine, polysulfide polyurethane, polyaniline and so on.
The adhesion of inorganic fillers, substrates and resins is improved, so that the mechanical strength and electrical properties of the composites are improved, and the retention rate is higher in wet state. As inorganic filler surface treatment agent, it is widely used in ceramics, glass beads, talc powder, wollastonite, silica, quartz, aluminium powder, iron powder.
It is suitable for epoxy sealant filled with quartz, epoxy concrete repair material or coating filled with sand and epoxy mould material filled with metal. It can also improve the adhesion of two-component epoxy sealant, and improve the adhesion of acrylic latex, sealant, polyurethane and epoxy coating.
